What can I do in my spare time?
China is a travellers delight and your biggest problem will be deciding what to do and when. What you do over the weekends will be determined by where you are placed but, once in China, you will want to travel around a bit after your teaching stint.A country of ancient splendour, natural beauty, vast distances and populous cities, China has much to offer the adventurer. For outdoor enthusiasts there are rivers to forge, sail or cruise and mountains to hike and climb.
If you are into shopping and entertainment the urban culture will suit you down to the ground as you have an eclectic mix of hi-tech juxtaposed with tradition. And of course there are many World Heritage Sites ranging from the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven to the incredibly tranquil Lushan Mountain Range.
